I’ve got another article over at at the English Historical Fiction Authors website on the history of the City of Leicester.
The city’s colorful history didn’t begin when Henry III granted Simon de Montfort VI the Earldom, however. I’ve presented the reader with a good deal of background from the time of the conquest of England by the Angles and Saxons. Evidence suggests that it was also the site of the castle of King Lear.
